Quiet quitting is a new form of workforce behavior that emerges when employees perform only the basic tasks expected of them as a result of dissatisfaction, burnout or loss of motivation at work. This concept is defined as the employee consciously not participating in responsibilities or voluntary contributions outside the job description and not making extra effort at work. The quiet quitting process usually has a very subtle and implicit structure that cannot be easily recognized from the outside. Symptoms such as withdrawal from work-related social activities, reluctance to comply with working hours, poor communication with managers and coworkers, indifference to teamwork, general low motivation, decreased work efficiency and stagnation are frequently observed in employees who enter this process. The main purpose of this study is to examine the academic research on the phenomenon of “quiet quitting” in Türkiye between 2022-2024 using a traditional review method.According to the inclusion criteria determined; a total of 40 studies published between these years, published in Turkish, whose full text is available, and addressing the causes and consequences of quiet quitting tendency were included in the evaluation. The sources examined consisted of 3 master's theses,2 full-text papers,8 book chapters,11 reviews and 16 original research articles.Literature search was conducted using Scopus, Web of Science,Google Scholar,YÖKTEZ and EBSCO databases with the keyword “quiet quitting”.
